Here is a place to visit and experience the Autistic Body of Christ.
It is important to recognize that those who post their stories here have offered to do so in good faith. It is an act of trust to share ourselves with others, and even more so when the narrative touches upon our autism and our sense of the sacred. The stories we post here may elicit a wide range of emotions. Let us strive to remember that every story is valid. We will likely hear a wide range of experiences and opinions, even those which run contrary to our own. Our world's understanding of autism has changed many times, and we do well to consider that each person's story is a snapshot of how autism has shaped them, their families and their communities, and reflects their own, unique circumstances.
Our goal is that this space may enliven Jesus' words in Matthew 18:20,
"Where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them."
As we seek, welcome and greet Jesus in one another, may we likewise seek and welcome His grace in our own hearts.
